| - VERY FUNNY! - My new xanga is www.xanga.com/rawkfreak24!
What is there to say?! Well, last night was our last regular-season game against Mount Pleasant. We weren't sure if we were going to play because of the rain and how hard it was, but it cleared up by the first pitch. We lost 6-2, but I was very proud of how our defense worked. Only allowing 2 runs in the first inning and then shuting them out until the last inning is really good for our standards. 35 straight at-bats without a hit, but that streak was broken in the bottom of the seventh inning. I felt so proud of myself. Throughout that streak, I struck out three times, walked three times, and either grounded out or popped up in the infield. But, it is finally over. We have a make-up game Monday night at East Fairview at 6:30 p.m. against Middle Creek. Hopefully, this new streak continues. Then, Tuesday night we have two make-up games back-to-back starting at 8 p.m. against either Trinity or Salem. I have no clue which field we will be playing on. Enough of that, once Monday and Tuesday are over, I officially leave White Oak and officially welcome LCBC!
Other news, there is no other news.
Work schedule - Wednesday from 10 to 6, and Saturday from 1 to 7! After a work week like this past, I'm glad I only have two days of work before the OBX trip.
Also, I stopped in last night to visit Jesse. He got operated on this past Thursday and he's in good spirits. He told me that the procedure went without a hitch. He's in a lot of pain. But, keep praying for a steady and healing recovery.
Also, everybody has to mark October 23rd down on their calendars. Me, Jesse, Niel, Steve, and Mike are going to the Penn State-Iowa football game. We are planning on having the word LIONS spelled across our chest and also we are planning on having our faces painted blue and white and possibly having our hair sprayed blue and white. Maybe, we'll get on TV!!! Please watch and find out! HAHA!
Anyway, nothing else exciting. Nothing planned for the weekend other than catch up on sleep! But, hey OBX is coming up soon and after that is Purple Door!
If somebody wants to do something when I'm not working, give me a buzz on my cell, 330-2999.

| - Great Heavy Stuff! YES, DAVID! THE FREAK IS BACK! not only do i piss you off, but i'm the process of healing. thanks for all the prayers and support from everybody. i know this hasnt been a totally great time for me along with everybody else. these past few days have been challenging. ive been praying and reading the bible more than ever thanks to this experience. even though this isnt the first time, i surely learned a lot from it. it affected more ppl. it made reflect more on life. ive had dreams where i actually see myself in a coffin with all my friends around me crying. im going to list some of my closest friends in my life:
Chelsea, Jesse, Niel, Heidi, Paula, Terry, Ang, Ryan, Sarah, and Kirsten.
Thanks guys and gals.
Meanwhile, that's about it from me. I'm so tired and drained from work and other stuff.
This time is challenging and don't worry I'm seeking help for my mental state of mind.
Thank you Ang for the phone call, I always go to bed listening to that message and thinking that the second prettiest girl (in my books u won that thing) in wisconsin cares enough about me to call me and tell me that shes worried about me! THANK YOU!
THANK YOU EVERYBODY for turning my life around! You never think that you're loved that much until you pull something dumb and selfish like that!
Signed,
The Freak!
A Special Thank You to the Pillar Underground Army! Thank you guys for caring! We're not a family until we start caring about each other and this is it! THANK YOU!
I see you with me on the Golden Stones of Heaven! | | |
| - Rewind Wow! What a crazy night! July 18th, 2004 will be a day that some of us will never forget. Especially when it hits this close. I don't know what went wrong. I was being selfish and acting like a jerk. It was so extreme. I can't believe that I took a knife to my wrist. It was weird, because as I was cutting, I saw a glimpse of heaven. Here is a list of names of the people who helped me pull through this:
Angie (THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING), Paula (I'm so sorry for the pain and heartache), Ryan (I need to stop, think, and listen), David (We need to start that support group on Wednesday nights), Sarah (We just met, but thanks for helping me), and the entire Pillar Underground Army (thanks for all the prayers).
I don't know how to repay these people. These people are my heroes. From now on, I'm going to be thanking God every single day for putting these people in my life. Without them, there wouldn't be a Garrett Martin. Thank you!
I've learned so much for this experience. You don't need that somebody. You just need friends, family, and God. I know I've been questioning my faith, but now I know. God is real and he is there for me and for you. If you don't have friends, you need them, because without them, that journey is going to be extra long and extra hard.
I just one thing to say before I finish up, please do not worry about me, I'll be fine.
Alright, well other stuff:
Work on Tuesday (6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.), Wednesday (9 a.m. to 1 p.m.), Thursday (6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.), and Saturday (5 a.m. to 1 p.m.). So, my nights are somewhat free.
Good luck Jesse on your operation on Thursday!
32 Days till Purple Door!

| Wow, what a week! Tornadoes hitting Campellstown (where's that?!), flooding a Manhole (the town, Manheim), Heidi and Britt driving my car (Scary), Tyler, Niel, Mike, Devin, Andrew, and myself beating the crap of each other in dodgeball and just being stupid at youth group (Amazing times), losing to White Oak Gray on Tuesday after bible school, oh well!
Well, it was funny, because my anger management advisor gave me this CD and this song, Heaven (candlelight remix) by some girl was on it and it made me think of my last slow dance with Kristen. We were at my friend, Collin's house for his beach party. It was a full moon outside with the waves gently breaking. Kristen and I went outside to dance out there on the sand by the beach. It was so awesome. So, whenever I hear that song, or any of these other songs (I'm With You by Avril Lavigne, Somewhere Out There by Our Lady Peace, or Complicated by Avril) it just reminds me of those good ol' times with Kristen at Hersheypark, Busch Gardens, or just plain chillin at her house. Too bad those days are over.
Here's a note out to Chelsea, Danielle, Niel, Heidi, and Britt! We have to do something together sometime soon, cuz we've only done one thing and that was the movies. That was back in May, come on, we only 1 1/2 months left of freedom before we get dragged back into hell. HAHA!
Hopefully, my parents will stop being party poopers and help pay my way on the obx trip, cuz I'm running extremely low on money. I'm only paying 1/3 of my insurance for my car and I want to go up to the cabin Labor Day weekend to see a Penn State game and do some hiking and swimming with the guys. Man, I hope they help me out cuz I'm only making about 200+ every other week. That ain't enough.
Oh yeah, me, Randy, Reuben, and Mike went to see I, Robot tonight. Great movie! My suggestion, don't see Spider-Man 2, it's too much like the first one! Same plot, same characters, and same ending! BORING! Go out and treat yourself to a good movie like I, Robot or Seed of Chucky or Taxi!
34 Days till Purple Door!
Streak: 3 Days!!!!
Previous Streak: 11 Days!!!!
